We are pleased to share that we now offer Traditional Shaman services at Wellness By Alluria. This is a rare find in the modern Western world, and we are very excited to introduce this unique path to personal growth and healing! Our services come from Khaluna Kam, who will also be starting a series titled "Freedom of the Self - A Traditional Shaman's View."

Self-Healing in Shamanism
Learning the key to self-healing is a priceless gift in this life. It allows us to help others find their way, which is equally invaluable. Achieving your passion and purpose involves unique gifts, perseverance, and a genuine desire to love others and all living beings.
The Journey of Self-Discovery
As we explore and accept ourselves, we can instill a reconnection that has been lost in future generations. Living from an animist perspective means sharing not just through words, but through listening, responding, and connecting from the heart center.
We embrace acceptance of all living beings, regardless of race, gender identity, or religious belief. Celebrating our trials and tribulations with gratitude reminds us that there is reciprocity in perseverance.
Embracing Trust and Purity
"Primordial trust" are two words I will stand by, live by, and act upon. We often refer to "white ways," meaning walking in purity with unconditional love for ourselves and all living beings. Trusting our ancestors and spirits helps maintain balance in our lives.
Love and unity to all,
Khaluna Kam
Understanding the Role of a Kam
The term "Kam" means "Shaman" and has roots in Mongolia, Eurasia, and Siberian history. Unlike the Western interpretation of the word, a Kam receives their name through an initiatory process.
The Spiritual Practitioner
A Kam is a spiritual practitioner with the ability to communicate with spirits and unseen energies. They mediate between the human and spiritual worlds. While this may sound strange to some, this way of life dates back over 30,000 years. It is one of the longest-standing traditions in spiritual practice.
Kamlanie (Kam fire rituals) often involve drumming, dancing, singing, and entering trance states to mediate the unseen spirits and energies, and address community issues. You might compare them to various roles, such as:
Naturopathy Doctor
Therapist
Pastor
Psychic
Death Doula
Birth Doula
The Path to Becoming a Kam
Shamanism is a long-standing tradition in Central Asia, Siberia, and North America. Not all shamanic practitioners become Kams, but all Kams start as practitioners. Through daily lessons, teachings, and practical experiences, a Kam's teacher, known as the "Bashky," tests the student to determine when they are ready for initiation. This initiation is crucial for various sacred reasons.
Modern-Day Kams
In contemporary society, Kams can be found working in mental health facilities, hospice centers, birthing facilities, and massage therapy or Reiki practices. Some even serve as advisors to country presidents.
As we embark on this journey together, we invite you to explore the sacred of traditional shamanism. Let us help you find balance and inner peace through a blend of spiritual wellness practices.
By embracing this unique path, you can discover the healing potential within yourself and others. We look forward to walking this journey with you.
